The RGS Foundation is thrilled to announce that there will be a further six 1675 Scholars joining Reigate Grammar School in September.
This will take the total number of places provided through this charitable programme to 10 students, meaning that we will be halfway to our target of 20 Scholars by 2016!
This is wonderful news and comes as a result of the significant support given by the RGS community to the Changing Lives bursary campaign both before and following its public launch in January.
Sean Davey, Foundation Director said, “This is extremely good news for our campaign and highlights the outstanding support we are receiving from our Reigatian community. It demonstrates the impact of a ‘collective’ approach to giving and the importance of people working together to improve the life-chances of young children from disadvantaged backgrounds in the region. Social mobility remains a significant challenge in the UK but RGS is determined to make a difference. My sincere thanks goes to all those who have contributed to the 1675 Bursary Fund. I sincerely hope that this wonderful support continues and would also ask that more members of our community consider making a donation. Together, I know that we can achieve our target!”
